Considering the fact that the Board depends heavily on Grant-in-Aid. All possible measures were taken to augment revenue and reduce dependence on grant. For this the following steps were taken :-

(a) Const. of a guest house under Self Financing Scheme worth Rs. 8 lacs has been completed and are functional. It would generate an additional income of Rs. 2 lacs per annum. Monthly rents is charged from the lessees.

(b) 5 shops under Self Financing Scheme being constructed it would generate an addition income of Rs 1.75 lacs per annum.

(c) Water rate increased from Rs 10/- to 12/- per 1000 lit for domestic use and Rs. 20/- to 22/- for commercial use.

(d) Hoarding/ advt char increased from Rs. 25/- per sqft. to 50/- per sqft. from Nov 2009.

(e) Rates of parking fee revised & revenue increased by 60000/- p.a.

(f) Shops rent increased every year on expiry of licenses as Board may thinks fit.

(g) The board has examined the feasibility of setting up of a mobile tower and petrol pump for which proposals have been initiated by the Board and sent to competent authority for approval/ directions regarding auction of lands for these purposes.

(h) Rates of Slaughter fee has been revised from Rs. 10/- per animal to Rs 15/- for slaughter of each shop/goat/ Pig with immediate effect i.e. from Aug. 2010.

(i) Board has Considered & approved to impose the following rates of maintenance/Cleaning fee on the vehicles of visitors at tip-in-top view point:-

1. On heavy vehicles Rs. 20/- per vehicle per day (from sunrise to sun set)

2. On light vehicles (4 wheelers) Rs- 10/- per vehicle per day (from sunrise to sun set)

3. On Scooter Car /Moter vehicle Rs- 5/- per vehicle per day (from sunrise to sun set)

(j) Board has levid copying fee of building/land map or any other kind of map pertaining to house owner /lessees Rs. 50/- Per Sqft. subject to minimum of Rs- 100/- copying fee for supply of Maps vide CAC No. 13 dated 12 Oct 2009 and confirmed vide 2 dated 13 Oct 2009.

(k) Board has fixed the registration charges of Contractors Rs. 5000/- be charged as registration fee from contractor and Rs. 1000/- from the suppliers of various stores and thereafter, contractors/suppliers should be charged Rs. 1000/- and Rs. 200/- each year as renewal charges respectively except Govt. Institutions like KVIC Khandi Bhandar, State Handlooms suppliers of conservancy equipments vide CAC No. 14 dated 12 Oct 2009 and confirmed vide 2 dated 13 Oct 2009.

(l) Board has revised rates of sewer charges from Rs. 20/- to Rs. 35/- per flush privy in to the sewer line laid by the Board from 1st Nov 2009.

(m) Cleaning charges of public land occupied by resident of Cantt area for the purpose of any function etc. revised from Rs. 150/- to Rs. 300/-

(n) Rates of hawking fee revised as are under:-


Further resolved that Govt. Institutions be exempted from above charges.


Particulars of Recipients of concessions permits or authorizations granted :

Cantt Board provides :-

(a) Remission in taxes in respect of Building or land remained vacant and unproductive of rent for 60 or more consecutive days.

(b) Exempt for a period not exceeding one year at a time from payment of any tax any person by reason of poverty and unable to pay the same.
